Trapezoid Baffles

Trapezoidal baffles are adjacent trapezoid-shaped chambers filled with down and positioned so that their parallel sides are opposite to one another. This is an especially effective construction because it not only distributes the down more evenly throughout the bag and prevents it from shifting, but the alternating angular alignment also prevents cold spots.

These can arise in other chamber construction when down clumps together in the chamber corners. The angular baffle design ensures that the down forms a continuous insulation layer in any position, thereby preventing cold spots as well.
